Windermere School has acquired a strong reputation for combining high standards of teaching and learning with encouraging pupils to face outdoor and personal challenges, in a happy, caring and supportive environment.  The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme has replaced A Levels in the Sixth Form, adding a more rigorous academic experience to prepare students for university and employment.  Some students have taken the opportunity to combine aspects of the IB with BTEC courses.

TEMPORARY FULL-TIME TEACHER OF PE AND GEOGRAPHY

Maternity Cover Required from April 2018 – initially for the Summer Term (16 April to 30 June 2018)

We are seeking a suitably qualified female graduate to teach PE, particularly Tennis, across the school (Years 7-13) and also to teach Geography to Years 7 and 8. The ability to oversee the activity programme is also a requirement for this position.

It is expected that the successful applicant will be fully committed to the demands of a coeducational boarding and day school and be able to enhance the extracurricular programme.

Activity Leader

Windermere is an IB World and Round Square School for students from the UK and overseas from the age of 3 to 18.

ACTIVITY LEADER

This role involves supporting the successful delivery of the Summer School activities programme. Working with the Senior Activity Leaders, you will generate ideas, and deliver the afternoon, evening and weekend social programme and activities. You will work hard to ensure the contentment of all attendees.  

Remuneration: £260/week. Accommodation, meals and staff polo-shirts will be provided.

You will be on-duty six days per week. You will be required to participate in pastoral and boarding duties. You will be required to work every weekend. You will be required to live on site for the duration of the summer.

Senior Activity Leader

Windermere is an IB World and Round Square School for students from the UK and overseas from the age of 3 to 18 

SENIOR ACTIVITY LEADER

This role involves successfully managing and delivering the Summer School activities programme. Working with the support of the Centre Manager, you will generate ideas, create, plan, deliver, document and review evening and weekend activities. Afternoon activities, weekend excursions will already be planned, however you will be required to manage the students and their supervision.

Remuneration: £315/week. Accommodation, meals and staff polo-shirts will be provided.

Please Note: This is a residential role. You must be available to attend Summer School Training from Saturday 2 to Monday 4 July. Summer Schools start on Tuesday 5 July.
