Summer Schools 2010
Make new friends in an amazing location
There are two residential summer school options during the month of July. With strong credentials and a beautiful setting, the three and a half week International Summer School has enjoyed many successful seasons attracting students from all over the world looking to improve their English language skills and join in our outdoor activities and cultural excursions.
For students that would like to experience life in the Lake District with full days of activities, we offer the residential Summer Camp with a choice of one, two or three week programmes.
For children age 4 to 11 there is the non-residential Summer Activity Camp at Windermere Preparatory School in the village of Windermere. This is designed as a daily activity camp for younger children using the facilities at our Preparatory School and lakeside watersports centre. Running daily during the weeks of 19 - 23 July and 16 - 20 August from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm, there is an an early morning drop off option at 8.30 am. Please contact James Wright at jwright@windermereschool.co.uk or telephone 015394 46164 to register for a place.
Our summer school participants stay in the safe and healthy environment of the Windermere School boarding facilities where they are grouped by age and gender, with 24-hour supervision and care. Meals are provided in the school dining hall, which overlooks the lake, and special dietary requirements are catered for upon request. Although the school enjoys a spectacular country-side setting in the Lake District National Park, the bustling tourist centre and well equipped village of Windermere is only minutes away. For students that would like to experience life in the Lake District with full days of activities, we offer the residential Summer Camp with a choice of one, two or three week programmes.
