Student Welfare
We have three courses available in 2012
InsuranceThe school also puts in place an extensive insurance policy for every individual student on the course, specifically designed to cover international students on summer language schools within the UK. The exact details of which can be provided by the school yet in brief the policy provides insurance in respect to travel, personal injury, personal liability and medical expenses.
Medical Attention
The summer school operates with a full time Welfare Officer who is first aid trained. With the support of other duty staff, a round the clock service is put in place ensuring the welfare of each and every student. The school has established links with Windermere Doctors surgery and Westmorland General Hospital, both of which are situated close by.
Food
The school prides itself on both its facilities and its food. The schools dining hall is situated so as to take full advantage of our unique surroundings, looking out across Lake Windermere and the Langdale fells. Whilst enjoying the view we feel confident that our able chefs can satisfy everybody’s needs with a variety of foods, for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Accomodation
The schools accommodation is also well maintained with a very diligent maintenance team working all year around. The school has three separate boarding houses, which are used for accommodating our students, Langdale House for the boys, Westmorland House for the girls and Browhead for our younger students. All three boarding houses are well equipped with a variety of modern rooms, bathrooms, kitchen facilities and common rooms.
