In collaboration with LA23NET, Windermere School will welcome the Chairman of Warburtons, Jonathan Warburton, on Wednesday 6 March…
On the strength of our recent International Baccalaureate results, almost three-quarters of the students achieved their university offers, with 66% securing their first choice university and a further 20% securing their second choice, and another 9% are applying overseas.
This means that 86% of the students have been accepted into their first or second choice of university. These universities included Edinburgh, St Andrews and University College London. All IBCP students successfully secured their first choice university, with one student being accepted at Glion University in Switzerland and another being awarded with a fully funded degree apprenticeship in Project Management at BAE Systems.

The first time my daughter and I visited the school she said to me “that is a happy school no question.” The scholastic achievements of the school are evident and an easy measure for a school to demonstrate. What is hard to quantify is the holistic development of a pupil at which, in my experience, Windermere School excels.
Windermere School is such a unique community to be a part of. Not only is it based in a truly beautiful and inspiring national park, but the environment created by staff and students alike makes for an incredibly supportive, proactive, exciting and international place of learning in which everyone can thrive and be the best they can be.
