Students have still been enjoying their Food and Nutrition lessons online.
Traditionally at the end of the summer term, students prepare an afternoon tea which they then enjoy on the terrace and this year we were determined to keep the tradition alive. It was difficult for some to source ingredients, but students (and parents) have worked amazingly hard and produced some wonderful work. The brief was to prepare afternoon tea, including two types of sandwiches, a cake or small cakes using the creaming method, a batch of scones, a traybake or biscuit and they had to lay a table and present their dishes, with a drink of their choice.
I am immensely proud of how the students have cooked online during these trying times and I look forward to seeing them all in September.
Keep safe and well and keep cooking!

Windermere School is such a unique community to be a part of. Not only is it based in a truly beautiful and inspiring national park, but the environment created by staff and students alike makes for an incredibly supportive, proactive, exciting and international place of learning in which everyone can thrive and be the best they can be.
