In collaboration with LA23NET, Windermere School will welcome the Chairman of Warburtons, Jonathan Warburton, on Wednesday 6 March…
We welcome visitors to Windermere School at any time – meet our current students, tour the magnificent grounds including our lakeside watersports centre, Hodge Howe, and drop in on a lesson to see what we have to offer. Teachers and key members of staff will be available to answer your questions, and guests are encouraged to join us for lunch in our Dining Hall overlooking the lake and fells.
Tours and Visits any time
We welcome visits year round for families and students to experience the school on a typical day. With prior notice, we can arrange lunch with a particular year group or meetings with members of staff in subject areas of interest (e.g. Sports coaches, Heads of Faculty, Learning Support or Special Educational Needs staff). Please contact email@example.com to arrange an appointment.
Boarding Taster Days
We accept boys and girls as boarders from ages 8 to 18 (Years 3 to 13). The best way to experience the benefits of boarding are to try it our for a night or two. Candidates are paired with a student their own age to attend lessons with and share a room. All Boarding Taster students join in the daily activities, lessons and meal times to become familiar with the routine.
We welcome families to attend school events to get a feel for the atmosphere and speak to other families. There is a wide choice of plays, concerts, and sporting fixtures which can be found in the school calendar. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
The first time my daughter and I visited the school she said to me “that is a happy school no question.” The scholastic achievements of the school are evident and an easy measure for a school to demonstrate. What is hard to quantify is the holistic development of a pupil at which, in my experience, Windermere School excels.
Windermere School is such a unique community to be a part of. Not only is it based in a truly beautiful and inspiring national park, but the environment created by staff and students alike makes for an incredibly supportive, proactive, exciting and international place of learning in which everyone can thrive and be the best they can be.
