Children join us in Reception from our own Pre-School and a wide range of local nurseries.
>This is the beginning of your child’s personalised pathway through Windermere School. We ensure that their academic, creative and physical development is uninhibited and their individual character and personality are given the space to blossom.
Above all Windermere School gives children the most precious thing of all – time. It’s only by having time to explore new concepts that a child is able to ask the questions that might not have occurred to anyone else and to make connections to their past experiences.
Parents and grandparents are invited to visit and look at children’s work, and nativity and musical performances are a highlight of children’s first year at school.
Classes are warm and welcoming, with free choice play at morning drop off and parents invited into classrooms.
Windermere School welcomes children up to Year 1 that are eligible for Funded Hours, for up to 15 hours per week.
Please contact us to find out more or to arrange a visit to the Elleray.
The first time my daughter and I visited the school she said to me “that is a happy school no question.” The scholastic achievements of the school are evident and an easy measure for a school to demonstrate. What is hard to quantify is the holistic development of a pupil at which, in my experience, Windermere School excels.
Windermere School is such a unique community to be a part of. Not only is it based in a truly beautiful and inspiring national park, but the environment created by staff and students alike makes for an incredibly supportive, proactive, exciting and international place of learning in which everyone can thrive and be the best they can be.
