Year 6 were very excited to take part in the 'much heard about' Leadership Day last Friday at…
If hiking some of the best mountains in England, traversing the side of a cliff on the Via Ferrata, indoor skydiving, sailing on one of Britain’s most iconic lakes and whizzing down the longest zip wire in Europe (and fastest in the world!) sounds exciting to you, then you have found the right place!
Our outdoor education programme will exhilarate and challenge you whilst improving self-confidence, teamwork and leadership skills and giving you that adrenaline high! Student safety is our highest priority and all activities are led by experienced and qualified staff.

Our International Summer School courses are accredited by the British Council. The British Council Accreditation Report shows our commitment to providing outstanding English tuition along with a variety of fun and safe activities for International Summer School students.
The first time my daughter and I visited the school she said to me “that is a happy school no question.” The scholastic achievements of the school are evident and an easy measure for a school to demonstrate. What is hard to quantify is the holistic development of a pupil at which, in my experience, Windermere School excels.
Windermere School is such a unique community to be a part of. Not only is it based in a truly beautiful and inspiring national park, but the environment created by staff and students alike makes for an incredibly supportive, proactive, exciting and international place of learning in which everyone can thrive and be the best they can be.
