Windermere School is proud to be a part of the Safe Schools UK initiative.
Whilst it is impossible to eliminate risk entirely, it is possible for schools to put in procedures and policies that may help reduce the risk of transmission.
By joining the Safe Schools UK initiative we commit to implementing the BSA Covid-Safe Charter. This means Windermere School will:
• Allow students to wear face masks in school
• Undertake temperature checks or thermal scanning regularly for all non-resident individuals
• Put in place and ensure appropriate social distancing measures
• Ensure appropriate PPE for staff who require it
• Provide a suitable isolation area to care for pupils who show symptoms

'I think we've got the best deal in the whole country.' - Windermere School Parent
'When I take my granddaughter to Elleray, it feels like the school wraps its arms around her.' - Windermere School Grandparent
The first time my daughter and I visited the school she said to me “that is a happy school no question.” The scholastic achievements of the school are evident and an easy measure for a school to demonstrate. What is hard to quantify is the holistic development of a pupil at which, in my experience, Windermere School excels.
Windermere School is such a unique community to be a part of. Not only is it based in a truly beautiful and inspiring national park, but the environment created by staff and students alike makes for an incredibly supportive, proactive, exciting and international place of learning in which everyone can thrive and be the best they can be.
