Sixth Form Curriculum

Our Sixth Form is not academically selective, and our aim is to help each student find the pathway most suitable for their ambitions. Within each pathway, different courses exist and choosing the right course of study is critical to eventual success.

We believe that it is essential that students have access to high quality careers advice and are given the opportunity to explore an extensive range of career options. We are committed to finding what is right for each student. At Windermere School we offer four different pathways through Sixth Form:

  • International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)
  • International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP)*
  • National Level 3 Qualifications (standalone BTECs)
  • Standalone International Baccalaureate subjects (Certificates)

International Baccalaureate Self-Taught Syllabus

International pupils are able to continue studying their first language as part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma. Pupils taking this course will have two lessons per cycle with a supervisor from Windermere School who manages the students’ progress and keeps them on track. They will also have online lessons with an experienced International Baccalaureate tutor, in their first language.
