Learn to Sail, or develop your existing skills, at Windermere School’s private watersports centre on the shores of Windermere Lake.

 

Our morning courses are suitable for complete beginners, while our afternoon sessions are perfect for more experienced sailors (RYA Class 3 and 4).

 

Taught by our highly qualified RYA instructor, Mr Andy Monk,  participants can expect a hands-on, fun, and engaging experience. They will push their personal boundaries, develop new skills and become more confident on the water a hands-on, fun, and engaging experience. A breakfast club is also available from 9am.

 

Hodge Howe, our private watersports centre, is accredited by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) as an officially recognised club for British Youth Sailing. Windermere School is the only school in the UK to hold this status.

 

Our morning courses are suitable for complete beginners, children will work their way through the RYA Youth Sailing Syllabus collecting awards as they complete each level and will receive an RYA Youth Sailing Log Book at the end of their course. Our aim is to build confidence and enjoyment while learning how to be safe on the water.  

 

Our afternoon sessions are perfect for more experienced sailors (RYA Class 3 and 4). Children can expect a hands-on, fun, and engaging experience. Taught by highly qualified instructors participants will push their personal boundaries, develop new skills, and continue working through each level of their RYA Youth Sailing Syllabus.

 

The cost of both the morning and afternoon course is £200 for the week commencing 25 October and is suitable for pupils aged 8-17 years. The morning course runs from 10am to 1pm while the afternoon session runs from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
