Success at the ESU Performing Shakespeare Competition
16 January 2026
Five talented pupils from Years 7 and 8 recently took part in the first round of the ESU Performing Shakespeare competition, delivering impressive monologues with confidence and flair. The standard of performance was extremely high, and all participants should be congratulated for their commitment and enthusiasm.
We are delighted to announce that Freya H and Emmeline A have been selected to progress to the next round of the competition, which will take place in March. They will compete against pupils from other schools for the opportunity to secure a place in the prestigious final, held at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in the summer.
We are very proud of all the pupils who took part and wish Freya and Emmeline the very best of luck as they continue in the competition.
