LEARNING SUPPORT
The Learning Support Department is well established and runs as an independent department within Windermere School. Students have access to a team of dedicated specialists who can support pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs, and assist with the teaching of English as an Additional Language.
The Learning Support Department works with pupils on individualised programmes to help fulfil their potential and create confident and lifelong learners in collaboration with all departments across Windermere School and there are strong links with the Junior School Campus.
We are proud of the diversity of our pupil population. With our broad curriculum, we have developed an inclusive culture that offers choice and opportunity at every step and aim to develop a sense of self-knowledge within our pupils, that will continue to serve them throughout their adult lives.
The Learning Support Department maintains and shares an interest in current research, training and resources in an attempt to provide optimum outcomes for pupils and appropriate support, advice and training to the rest of the teaching body.
Pastoral Care
Students with a strong sense of self-esteem can reach their full potential, whether this is on the sports field, academically, creatively, or challenging themselves in outdoor pursuits.
