Windermere School Shines in Spectacular School of Rock Production
8 December 2025
From the 5–7 of December, Crampton Hall was transformed into a buzzing, guitar-fuelled playground of music, talent and pure joy as Windermere School proudly presented this year’s production of School of Rock. Over three electric nights, our cast and crew delivered performances that were nothing short of extraordinary.
This year’s production brought together pupils from Years 7 to 13, creating a vibrant company of performers whose commitment and enthusiasm lit up the stage. The pupils have been working tirelessly since the start of the academic year, dedicating countless hours to rehearsals, music practice, choreography and technical preparations. Their hard work was evident in every moment of the show, from pitch-perfect vocals to confident acting and flawless transitions backstage.
One of the most heart-warming aspects of the production was seeing new friendships form across year groups. The collaboration between younger and older pupils created a wonderful sense of family within the cast, and their togetherness shone through in their performances. Their professionalism, energy and sheer joy were a delight to witness.
None of this would have been possible without the extraordinary vision and dedication of the production team. A huge and heartfelt thank you goes to the incredible Mrs Burtt-Jones and Mrs Nield for directing and bringing School of Rock to life once again with such passion and creativity. We also extend our gratitude to the brilliant Mr Lofthouse-Jones for his support and expertise throughout the show.
Special thanks must also go to the exceptionally talented pit band musicians, whose live music elevated every scene, and to Ashley Johnson for the dynamic and exciting dance choreography that added so much sparkle and movement to the production. Mr Wakefield and Magnus for their flawless execution of the lighting and sound.
We are immensely proud of every pupil involved, on stage and backstage. Their collective effort created a truly memorable event for everyone who attended. Thank you to all families, friends, and members of the community who came along to support our pupils; your enthusiasm helped make each night unforgettable.
Of course a big shout out to Year 11 pupil and leading star, Seb. What a performance he put on every night, inspiring so many and working so hard to memorise his songs, dances and lines! We cannot wait to see what the next production brings!
