Photography Club: Exploring Creativity Behind the Lens
23 September 2024
Our Photography Club is well underway this term, and we’re excited to share some of the amazing work produced by our talented pupils! Through the lens of their cameras, they’ve captured moments and perspectives that show a growing confidence in their photography skills.
The core principle of the club is to encourage pupils to not only learn new techniques but also to think creatively about how they can make their photos more interesting. It’s about exploring our school grounds with a fresh perspective, learning independently and experimenting with ideas outside the classroom.
So far, we have delved into three key concepts: angles, framing and symmetry. Pupils have been challenged to look at familiar spaces in new ways, using angles to create dynamic shots, framing to guide the viewer’s attention and symmetry to bring balance to their photos.
The results have been incredible! Below, you’ll find a selection of the most creative and thoughtful submissions from our pupils. Each photo reflects their developing eye for detail and composition, as well as their willingness to push the boundaries of their photography.
Stay tuned for more inspiring work as we continue to explore more techniques in the coming weeks! Keep up the great work, photographers!
