Sixth Form Students Present Pumpkin-Themed TOK Projects
29 October 2024
Today at lunchtime, our Sixth Form students showcased their first Theory of Knowledge (TOK) project in a creative way, all centred around pumpkins! The seasonal theme was perfect for this time of year, and it set the stage for an engaging afternoon.
Each group of students presented their unique projects to younger pupils from the school, making the event interactive and fun. To add to the excitement, the Sixth Form students even baked delicious homemade cakes, which they sold at the event – a sweet treat for all!
The projects covered a range of thought-provoking topics. One group explored the physicality of pumpkins by dropping them from different heights to see when they would break. Another group challenged the audience with the question, “What defines a pumpkin?”—sparking a deeper discussion on classification and identity. The third group cleverly used pumpkins to demonstrate how knowledge can be received differently depending on how it’s presented.
The energy and creativity of our Sixth Form students were truly impressive. They kept everyone captivated with their interactive presentations, and it was clear they had put a lot of thought and effort into their work.
We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and are excited to see their TOK skills develop over the next year. Well done to all involved!
