Year 11 Rubbish Collection
14 September 2020
This week, as part of the Service Programme, members of Year 11 accompanied by Mr Lightburn, undertook a project within the National Park.
The school contacted the Lake District National Park to volunteer in assisting with the collection of rubbish left by visitors over the summer. Our students ventured to Thompsonholme Island to litter pick and remove rubbish before the winter months. Their efforts were gratefully appreciated as a number of the National Park workforce have been on furlough.
Well done to all the students who took part in such a worthwhile project in our local environment.
