Forest School – Learning about Leaves

Windermere School’s innovative Outdoor Learning programme starts with our youngest children in Forest School. We aim to engage the natural curiosity and enthusiasm of our students through an adventurous approach to learning and see the benefits every day; in terms of building confidence, forging friendships, increasing self-esteem and developing a growth mindset.

Yesterday, Years 1 and 2 continued their exploration of Autumn by using paint colour charts to search for different coloured leaves. They then used a hammer to see if those beautiful colours could be transferred onto the paper and discussed what happened when they were layered over one another.
