Junior School Easter Experience
20 March 2024
Year 5 have recently enjoyed learning the story of Easter and even got the opportunity to enhance their learning at Church, this is what the pupils had to say about their experience.
On Monday we went to Church to learn the story of Easter, it was interactive and we learned a lot. We got to join in, which made it fun. We also enjoyed the acting. Tommy was Jesus and got tied up and had a crown of thorns. Emily liked shouting ‘crucify him!’ Alice, Lily and Salim’s favourite part was when we saw the angel. Charlie really like the tomb….”it was dark in there”. Navya and Taylor liked the garden, where we held rocks. We drank grape juice and ate bread for the Last Supper. Paulina liked going in the temple at the start of the Easter story. It was a great morning!
Year 5 then hand delivered thank you cards to the Church to thank them all for such a wonderful experience and bringing the Easter story to life.
