Learning to understand the Census
19 March 2021
This week Year 2 has been learning all about the Census.
The children thought of questions to ask to find out useful information, for example, ‘what is your favourite snack?’ so that Jane and Dawn would know which fruit to bring at break time.
They then recorded their results using tally charts and presented the data. We then discussed how useful the census data is and how it can inform decision-making and future planning.
The children loved designing a new town and thought carefully about the essential things needed.
