Outstanding Achievements in Hockey and Netball

It has been an outstanding season of sport, with several teams achieving excellent results and demonstrating the very best of commitment, teamwork and determination.

Our U13 Hockey team, captained by Jenny B, enjoyed a superb County Championships, finishing a very close second place. This is a remarkable achievement, particularly given that the team overcame several much larger schools on their journey through the competition. As a result of their success, the team will now go on to represent Cumbria at the Regional Finals in Manchester, a fantastic opportunity and well-deserved reward for their hard work.
The squad was further strengthened by Mila and Charlotte, who stepped up confidently from Year 7 and made a valuable contribution throughout the tournament.

Meanwhile, our Year 7 and Year 8 netball teams have also enjoyed an exceptional season, celebrating almost uninterrupted wins. Beyond the results, the teams have consistently impressed with their enthusiasm, teamwork and commitment, both in training and in matches.

Congratulations to all pupils involved, and thank you to the staff who have supported them throughout such a successful sporting season. We look forward to seeing these teams continue to thrive.
