Non-Residential Summer Adventure Course

Five-Day Programme | From £400 per student (dependent on experience)

Running weekly from Monday 13 July – Friday 28 August 2026

Imagine standing high above the Lake District valley, the wind on your face as you prepare to descend your first abseil. Later that day you might be paddling across a peaceful lake in a kayak or climbing a rocky crag with expert guidance from the Windermere School Adventure Team.

Each day brings two exciting outdoor activities such as:

• Abseiling
• Rock climbing
• Kayaking
• Mountain adventures
• Optional horse riding

All activities take place against the breath-taking backdrop of the Lake District, one of the UK’s most beautiful natural environments.

Throughout the week, you’ll join outdoor sessions alongside international students attending our Summer School.

This creates a unique opportunity to make friends from around the world, share new experiences, and develop teamwork and communication skills in a truly global environment.

Designed for children aged 9–13, this action-packed programme helps young people:

This enriching adventure challenges students physically while supporting their personal growth—helping them return home more confident, capable, and inspired.

NEW: This year we are offering an additional residential package where your child can stay in our residential boarding house alongside our International Summer School students for the week (for weeks 13 July to 7 August). We offer 24hr pastoral care, all meals provided and comfy living quarters. This is a great opportunity for your child to really embrace our Junior Adventure Course and really experience everything our incredible school offers.
