Windermere School Shines at UK RS Feva National Championships

What a journey it’s been for Windermere School at the UK RS Feva National Championships, held this year at Dalgety Bay Sailing Club! The event delivered two unforgettable days of challenging conditions, with strong winds, choppy waters, and sudden squalls that tested even the most seasoned sailors. Postponements, boat breakages, and long hours on the water became the backdrop for an inspiring display of resilience and camaraderie.

Our sailors rose to every challenge with determination, humour, and an unshakable team spirit. Through every gust and gear failure, they showed exactly what it means to be part of Windermere School — where character and courage are just as important as skill.

We were especially proud as our Regatta Fleet sailors advanced to compete on the Championship Silver Fleet course for the final two days. This leap in competition was a remarkable achievement, reflecting their growing confidence and capability.

Their hard work and perseverance paid off with some incredible results:

• Pro-Am Trophy

• 11th and 34th Overall National Rankings

• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the Regatta Fleet — a full podium sweep for Windermere School!
