Recently, our whole school gathered for a truly inspiring reflection, as we welcomed back two familiar faces — Stannites Ben and Oscar.

The pair shared not only stories from their recent adventures in the Alps, but also valuable insights on the lasting impact of Outdoor Education. Their passion for the mountains and the outdoors, first nurtured during Adventure lessons here at Windermere, shone through in every word.

From personal challenges to unforgettable moments among the peaks, Ben and Oscar reminded us all of the lessons that outdoor experiences can bring — resilience, teamwork, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the natural world.

It was a wonderfully uplifting way to begin the day, leaving pupils and staff alike motivated to seek out their own adventures and opportunities for growth.
