Yesterday, Windermere School came alive with energy and excitement as we celebrated one of the most anticipated events of the academic year—Sports Day! Held at the fantastic Salt Ayre venue in Lancaster, the day brought together pupils, staff, and supporters for a festival of athleticism, teamwork, and school spirit.

With the weather on our side—no rain in sight—pupils arrived full of enthusiasm and ready to give it their all. From sprints and long-distance races to throwing events and cheering on teammates, it was wonderful to witness pupils of all ages participating with such determination and positivity.

The true spirit of Sports Day was on full display: pupils encouraging one another, celebrating personal bests, and showing great sportsmanship throughout the day. The atmosphere was electric, and the sense of community was stronger than ever.

A huge congratulations goes to this year’s overall winners—Strickland! Your hard work, commitment, and team unity truly paid off.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms Ellery and the entire PE department for their incredible organisation and dedication. Their efforts made the day not only possible but also a memorable highlight of the year.
