Celebrating Success: Year 12 Students Shine in Dream Placement Interviews

We are thrilled to congratulate our talented Year 12 students, Aarupi and Binh, for being selected to attend the prestigious Dream Placement interview day at Energus on Tuesday, 10 December 2024. Their achievement follows a rigorous application process, which included completing a detailed written application and participating in online evening sessions, culminating in interviews with prominent employers.
The interview day provided a unique opportunity for the students to engage with representatives from esteemed organisations, including Barrow and Furness MP’s Office, Soundwave, Armstrong Watson and Nuclear Waste Services.
Dream Placement is not just an ordinary work experience—it is an enhanced programme designed to connect young people with senior-level employers. Our students have a strong legacy of success with Dream Placement. Previous participants include Laura Bethel, who is now embarking on a Degree Apprenticeship with Airbus, as well as Sophie Beach and Ian Bethel, who excelled in last year’s programme.
Aarupi shared, “I really enjoyed Dream Placement as it allowed me to explore the different job opportunities in Cumbria. By doing Dream Placement, my confidence in my own abilities grew, and I developed a more mature demeanor.”
Binh added, “Dream Placement gave me an opportunity to experience a real interview. It was very interesting and offered a valuable insight into career pathways in Cumbria.”
