Equestrian Triumph!

13 March 2025

Windermere School’s equestrian team continues to impress, with pupils Eliza, Jack, and Zara achieving remarkable results in recent competitions.

Back in January, the trio showcased their talent, qualifying for the prestigious Grassroots and Individual Points League Championships at Hickstead this August. Jack delivered an outstanding performance, winning the 40cm class and securing 3rd place in the 50cm class on his pony, Cadiz. He also rode clear rounds on Sarum Rossini. Zara demonstrated her skill with a 4th-place finish in the 75cm and an impressive 2nd in the 85cm on her pony, Hope. Meanwhile, Eliza excelled in the 95cm class, earning 2nd place on Oakwood Daisy.

More recently, in March, Eliza added another accolade to her growing list of achievements. Competing in the NSEA (National Schools Equestrian Association) show, she put in a fantastic performance in the 95cm show jumping class, securing the individual title and being crowned County Champion for the second consecutive year!

Adding to the school’s equestrian triumphs, Year 4 rider Jack B has also qualified for the NSEA Championships in his category. Jack won the 40cm class and finished 4th in the 50cm on Cadiz, securing his spot in the Grassroots Championships at Hickstead this August.

A huge congratulations to Eliza, Jack, and Zara for their outstanding achievements. We are incredibly proud to have such talented riders representing Windermere School and wish them the very best for the upcoming championships!
