Exploring New Materials and Abstract Art

Our Year 8 pupils have been exploring the world of watercolour and abstract art, experimenting with colour blending, layering and expressive mark-making. From controlled washes to spontaneous splashes, they’ve discovered how watercolour can create movement, mood and emotion. The results are bold, creative and full of personality — a wonderful reflection of their artistic curiosity and growing confidence.

Meanwhile, Year 7 have been diving in to the magical world of the pottery studio, making their very own clay cupcakes. We are so excited to see their finished creations soon!
