Intermediate Invitational Tournament
20 March 2023
On Friday 17 March Windermere School had two representatives at the Intermediate Invitational Tournament at Kendal Squash Club.
Amir A (Year 13) played Jude E (Year 10) in the first round. Amir’s serve was too powerful and he took the first game comfortably. The second and third games were much closer but Jude couldn’t quite match the aggression of Amir and Amir won 3-0.
A first round loss meant that Jude went into the Plate Cup where he progressed to the semi-final, losing a very close match.
Amir progressed to the semi-final of the main draw but came up against an opponent with much more experience who managed to cope with the serve and use his wider range of shots and experience to edge out a close win.
Everyone who watched was very complimentary of both students and they were both excellent ambassadors for the school.
