Photography Club
20 November 2020
This week, now that the nights are drawing and it is getting dark, we practised the skill of spotlighting, where students used a torch to make a spotlight on an object, creating not only focus but also an emotive narrative.
Many students chose to focus on the poppy as it was Remembrance Day and some used the last of the light to hide the Children in Need’s mascot: ‘pudsy bear’ headbands, in the plants so that you only see the spots sticking out. Others used a toy car they were given to look at angles and play with size dimensions.
Although not all the students were happy with their final shots, it was a good exercise in photography with light and dark.
