Pupils Showcase Culinary Excellence in GCSE Food and Nutrition

Culinary Creativity at its Finest!
Three of our Food and Nutrition GCSE pupils had to select, plan and prepare 5 different dishes each and incorporate key cooking skills in just 2.5 hours. They had to prepare a time plan and produce a shopping list. Scores were marked for detailed information on weight/measures, cuts of meats, types of vegetables, fruits, milk, flour and sugars etc. They were then marked on the sensory properties of their dishes and then assessed on the serving and appearance of them. They were all brilliant and we are so proud of our culinary stars! We hope they achieve the grades they truly deserve.
