A massive thank you to Ripon Sailing Club for hosting an incredible North East & Yorkshire Youth Sailing RS Feva North Team Racing event! The weekend was filled with exciting races, fantastic weather and a great sense of teamwork and sportsmanship from all involved.

With 21 teams competing, the standard of sailing was exceptional. Special congratulations to our A, B, C and D teams, who all made us incredibly proud with their performances.

• A Team (Edie, Holly, Freddie and Elizabeth): They had a fantastic weekend, going undefeated on Saturday without dropping a single race. Their brilliant sailing made them the team to beat on Sunday, where they fought hard in every race.
• B Team (Jennifer, Rafi, Angus and Noah): Despite a last-minute change in the line-up with Noah stepping in from another club, the team performed admirably. They made it into the Silver Fleet, which was a significant achievement and a testament to their perseverance.
• C Team (George, Henry, Tom and Harry): This team showed great progress throughout the event, learning and improving with every race. They even received a special mention from the organisers for their hard work and commitment and finished 2nd in the Bronze Fleet—an impressive result!
• D Team (Jim, Arthur, Charlie and Faye): Although Saturday proved challenging, the team turned things around with a stunning performance on Sunday. They only lost their final race to a team that had been in the Gold Fleet last year, showing their growth and determination.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of our parents. From working volunteer shifts to helping out on the judge boats and finish boats, their contributions were invaluable to the smooth running of the event.

A huge well done to all the sailors, organisers, and volunteers for making this such a successful and enjoyable weekend. We look forward to the next event!
