Sixth Form Residential

24 November 2023

To kick off their Residential, Year 12 helped out at Calver Trust, and worked with the Woodland Trust, Nether Pace Care Home, and British Heart Foundation shop.

The values of both Service and Leadership are woven into the fabric of Windermere School, not only through our Round Square IDEALS, but our International Baccalaureate (IB) programme.

The IB helps develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who will help create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect, and as a school we cannot imagine a better set of skills to equip our pupils with.

Continuing their Residential the next day, students completed a mine climb – thinking about the environmental and ethical implications and linking everything to the UN Sustainable Development goals. This is all part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma and Careers programme studied during the Sixth Form years at Windermere School.
