TOKtober 2025: Pumpkins, Philosophy and Plenty of Cake!

Yesterday marked our annual TOKtober celebration — a lively lunchtime event where the Sixth Form introduced younger pupils to the fascinating world of Theory of Knowledge (TOK).

The Year 12 students truly rose to the challenge, showcasing their creativity through the much-loved Pumpkin Project. Each group was given a pumpkin and asked to connect it to one of the key TOK ideas — resulting in a wonderfully diverse display that included the Murder Mystery Pumpkin, the Political Pumpkin, the Moral Philosophy Pumpkin, and many more imaginative interpretations!

Alongside the pumpkins, there were a range of interactive stalls inviting pupils to question what they know (and how they know it). From exploring morality and sense perception to uncovering fake news, the activities sparked plenty of curiosity and debate.

Of course, no TOKtober would be complete without a bake sale, and the treats were as impressive as the thinking on display.

A huge well done to all the Year 12 students for their enthusiasm, creativity and intellectual curiosity — and for making TOKtober such a fun and thought-provoking event for the whole school community!
