Windermere Schools ‘ROCK UP’ Concert for Diabetes UK
28 March 2024
What an incredible way to finish the Spring Term! With Mrs. McCallum, Mr. Bromley, and our talented pupils once again holding the ROCK UP concert in aid of Diabetes UK, the atmosphere was electric. As the stage lit up with remarkable performances, we were left in awe of everyone who took the spotlight, showcasing real confidence and talent in front of the entire school.
Yet, it wasn’t just the performers who stole the show; every pupil and teacher, whether in the limelight or supporting from the side-lines, contributed to the vibrant energy of the event. The air was filled with singing, dancing, and cheering, demonstrating the unwavering support and camaraderie within our school community.
The significance of this event extends beyond its entertainment value. Diabetes hits close to home for many in our community, including Mrs. McCallum, whose family has been directly affected by the condition. With individuals living with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes among us, the ROCK UP concert served as a powerful platform to raise awareness and support for those impacted by this illness.
As we bid farewell to another term filled with memorable moments, let us carry the spirit of generosity and empathy cultivated at the ROCK UP concert into the days ahead. Together, we can continue to make a positive impact and support those in need within our community and beyond.
