Whole School Production 2022
9 December 2022
There have been so many people who have come together to bring this whole school production to life, and we are lucky to have such a talented team.
We welcomed back Ashley Johnson as choreographer; what an amazing experience for our students to be working with a professional choreographer – we thank him for all his
amazing routines and all the little extras here and there he has helped with. Thanks also to Ian Pattinson for all the hours he has given in rehearsals as our wonderful pianist.
Thank you to Rob Dewhurst and Brian Dandy in our maintenance team who have transformed Shrek’s castle into an elegant Edwardian house for our Banks family, as well as making key pieces of set and props. Claire Lester and Katie Plumb have added their superb creative flair by bringing to life the set and props with wonderful artwork. These hugely talented people have given many hours to the show and we are so thankful for all their efforts.
Thank you to Paul Bromley for running the sound once again and being in charge of all things technical. This year we welcomed Shema Hill and Katie Cannell to the team and we thank them for supporting us with costume. Special mention must go to Laura Vincze for creating our fabulous colourful ‘quality street’ curtains. Finally, huge thanks to all the staff who have helped backstage; so much goes on behind the scenes and we are so grateful to the staff for getting behind the show and giving up their time to help (especially with the non-glamorous jobs!).
Finally, thank you everyone who has lent a hand – too many to mention individually but we have received so much support from the school community. It really is a team effort putting on a school production of this scale, and we really are grateful for all the hours so many people have so generously given.
