On Friday 21 April , our Year 13 pupils officially began Study Leave, and to celebrate their diligence, we ensured their final week was certainly one of balance. The individual student is at the center of everything we do at Windermere School and in true IB style, pupils continued their journey of becoming lifelong learners through a variety of enriching activities.

Pupils took a break from their revision and opted to take part in Cooking for University, Pottery, or Growth Mindset Adventure. The evening was complete with the popular wine-tasting event led by our expert, Mr Lightburn, where pupils took part in a mini masterclass recognising the qualities of good wine.

As the IB Learner Profile reminds us, understanding the importance of balancing different aspects of our lives whether that be intellectual, physical, or emotional is essential in order to achieve wellbeing for ourselves and others.
