Year 6 ‘Mars Bar’ Challenge

Following Christmas and a conversation between Alfie and his Grandma about how the ‘Mars Bar’ might have got its name, a creative story writing challenge was created.
Earlier this term, Year 6 were asked to write a story about how the ‘Mars Bar’ got its name. Alfie’s Grandma found a judge at BAE Systems and their anonymous stories were submitted. All of their stories were enjoyed and each entry received a Mars Bar courtesy of The Lakeside Hotel.
The overall winner was Zeke L and he received a personalised box of Mars Bars! Congratulations Zeke!
