Early Years ‘Drop In’ Open Morning
Our Early Years ‘Drop In’ Open Morning will be held on Wednesday 7 February, from 9.30am to 12noon, and I would be most grateful if you would assist us in publicising the event to friends and family who may be interested in attending.
Ways to help:
- Like and share our social media posts
- Share social media posts to local community boards
- Forward the attached poster to friends and family
- Word of mouth, let friends know the event is running
While we do offer tours and visits to the school all year round, Open Events are special. They allow prospective families to see at a glance what makes our school such a special place. Prospective parents will have the chance to learn more about our exceptional Early Years programme, ask all their most pressing questions to our friendly staff, join in activities with our Early Years children and experience the adventure that is Windermere School first-hand.
Families can register their interest for the event here.
Thank you in advance for your kind support.
OutdoorHer Campaign
The Adventure team, would like to draw your attention to the launch of the OutdoorHer campaign to support women and girls outdoors.
BMC and Mountain Training have collaboratively launched OutdoorHer, a dedicated hub aimed at providing advice and guidance for everyone who is looking to learn more about managing periods and menopause in the outdoors, from participants to leaders and allies.
It has been created with inclusion in mind and we hope that it helps to support and improve adventures for all, speaking to a range of issues that have often been overlooked.
Inspired by conversations with walkers, climbers and leaders about managing their periods and the menopause when out in the wild, BMC and Mountain Training have created some simple ‘how to’ guides about toileting, periods, menopause and kit. The aim is to empower women and girls, ensuring they feel at ease and confident in their bodies during outdoor pursuits.
