As I write I am greatly looking forward to seeing the culmination of a tremendous amount of hard work on the part of the cast and crew of Mary Poppins Jr. The excitement around campus is tangible and I hope that I am able to see many of you in person over the coming performances.
This week also provided the opportunity for our Deputy Heads and Head of School Council to join the full meeting of the Board of Governors. In our continuing goal to ensure pupil voice is central to our decision making, Isabella, Georgia and Idris spent time with the Board outlining the achievements of the various pupil sub-committees that they have been leading over the past year and also spoke with the Governors about their reflections on the school and its direction. They spoke eloquently and with passion about the areas that they felt made the school so special, as well as those areas that would benefit from further help and support. I have greatly appreciated their counsel in our weekly meetings over the past 10 months and I know the Board also greatly valued the opportunity to meet and engage with the most important aspect of our school: the pupils.
