Couch to Scafell: Our First Walk Complete!
Wednesday marked an exciting milestone as we enjoyed the very first of our Couch to Scafell walks, and what a fantastic day it was.
We set off from Elterwater, climbing Lingmoor Fell, and were rewarded with incredible views along the way. While the clouds rolled in and out, the rain kindly stayed away, giving us perfect walking conditions and some wonderfully atmospheric scenery.
It was brilliant to see such a great group come together for the walk, sharing the challenge, the views, and plenty of good conversation along the way. Days like this are exactly what Couch to Scafell is all about, enjoying the outdoors, and taking on new goals together.
We finished the day in the best possible way with some amazing food and coffee at Chesters by the River, rounding off a really memorable outing.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this first walk. Keep your eyes peeled – the next Couch to Scafell adventure will be coming very soon!
Stannite Spotlight – Anna’s Reflection
Recently we were delighted to welcome Stannite Anna back to Windermere School to lead a reflection with our Senior School pupils.
Anna spoke about the impact of Round Square on her life and how its values of service, leadership and global citizenship helped shape her journey – ultimately inspiring her to go on to establish her own charity.
It was a powerful and thoughtful reflection, offering pupils a real insight into how the experiences and values developed at school can continue to influence life well beyond the classroom. We are incredibly grateful to Anna for sharing her story and for inspiring the next generation of Stannites.
Thank you, Anna, for returning to school and reminding us of the lasting impact of a Windermere education
