STANNITE NEWS

Windermere School Stannite AlumniStannite Spotlight!

Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting Stannite Charlotte Ingham, Head Girl in 1998. After leaving Windermere School, Charlotte headed to Royal Holloway, threw herself into drama, performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, and said “yes” to as many opportunities as she could — true Stannite style!

Her career has taken her into TV and film, from working in London recording studios on audiobooks like Harry Potter with Stephen Fry, to moving into ITV drama, researching real-life stories and seeing her name in the credits. She reminded us that sometimes “no” really means “not yet”, and that big dreams often start with small roles — even being a runner on set.

Such an inspiring conversation and a wonderful reminder that our Stannites go on to do amazing things.

Windermere School Stannite AlumniA very special Elleray discovery

Kate, our wonderful Prep School receptionist, was recently working her way through some paperwork belonging to her late father when she came across the most beautiful surprise – his very first school report, aged just 6… from Elleray.

Kate had no idea her dad had attended Elleray, making this an incredibly special and unexpected link between them. A small piece of paper, but such a powerful reminder of family, memory and the generations that make up our school community.

Moments like this truly remind us that Elleray isn’t just a school – it’s part of so many stories, past and present.
